I'm prepping for Character Design class in the Spring. Here's "Ghost Girl" inspired by some cool movie characters and music. I'm pretty happy so far but I think she needs something . . .
I can see all the influences you listed, so nice job. I like the Ghost concept and tying it to white, which I think is a color representing death in Japan(?). Maybe she could use some more accessories (bracelets, rings, things that could aid melee damage) Also liked your Bubble-V concept. Get that guy up here!
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and presently I am living in the Pacific Northwest - Seattle to be precise, where I am teaching traditional and digital art at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
Prior to teaching here, I was a teacher and chairman of the Fine Arts Department at a private school in Boston.
I received my undergrad degree in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art, and my grad degree in Illustration was completed at Syracuse University.
Although I'm devoted primarily to teaching, I occasionally exhibit my work and have had the opportunity to see my work in print as a graphic designer and an illustrator.
In 1999 I was an award winner in the Illustrators of the Future competition hosted by Bridge Publications in Los Angeles, California and in 2000 I was awarded Juror's Choice in the Falmouth Artists' Guild's fall, open juried exhibition. Since then I ain't won nuthin'.
Thank you and goodnight

Thanks R. You're the second to suggest more accessories so I think I better get to it. Bubble-V coming up!
